Signature Events Updates: Until We Gather Again Though we’ve seen several of our key events cancelled or postponed, we wanted to take this time to thank our community for its continued support. There’s nothing we love more than seeing thousands of Canadians come together in support of our Canadian Armed Forces community. Sadly, the challenges we are facing across the country and around the world have had a significant impact on our ability to come together in person. So many of you have generously donated your registration fees to Support Our Troops and continue to be patient and supportive while we navigate these turbulent times. Please see below for the status of our signature events. Air Force Run – May 24, 2020 - CANCELLED The Royal Canadian Air Force prioritizes the health and well-being of its members and the communities where we live. After careful consideration, the Commander RCAF, upon recommendation from event organizers, has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Air Force Run scheduled to take place at 17 Wing Winnipeg on May 24, 2020. All registered participants will receive a full refund, or may choose to donate their registration fee to Support Our Troops. Thank you for your understanding, and we can’t wait to see you in 2021! Boomer’s Legacy Bike Rides - POSTPONED The core mission of Boomer’s Legacy is to Help Our Troops Help Others at Home and Abroad. After many discussions with our planning committees on both coasts, it is with heavy hearts that we announce that we will be postponing the Boomer’s Legacy 2020 Bike Rides until 2021. We have decided that the best way for us to support the members of the Canadian Armed Forces and our community is to commit to social distancing and the precautionary measures put in place by the World Health Organization. We will be in touch in the coming weeks with more information on the 2021 ride. In the meantime, please stay safe and healthy, and enjoy a great bike ride!
